This course is for both new and experienced Internet users. You will learn how to access and surf the World Wide Web, search for answers to your questions, use email, shop, chat, play games, listen to music, transfer files to and from your system, etc. The course also covers how to deal with spam, viruses and other on-line privacy and security issues. You can benefit from this course regardless of the browser software or Internet service provider you are using or plan to use although major portions of the course will not be applicable to AOL or Compuser users. The course assumes that you are using Internet Explorer v6.0 or higher as your browser and Outlook Express as your email client, but most of the instructions will transfer directly to other browsers such as Netscape v7.2 and higher, Firefox v1.0.1 and higher, and Opera v6.0 and higher.
Throughout the lessons you will find links to online sites (links look like this: click me). You are STRONGLY encouraged to follow these links whenever you find them. This "browsing" is the very best way to get comfortable with the riches you'll find here.
On every page of this course you will see, at both the top and bottom of the page, three arrows. To navigate through the course, click on:
